i actually saw the series recently after looking deep into a rabbit hole, and one thing thats to be said is that the series definitely attracted the wrong audience. there have always been "series good, fandom bad" instances, but they can also go so bad to the point where the creator is forced to cancel the series (there are also other notable examples but you get the point). the reason why i mention this is that it definitely played in the creator's burnout and stress, as people can get impatient and god knows what might happen
anyway, i can agree with everything said here. the series had great potential imo
